If you receive a message similar to the following when creating a PDF or previewing one, it means that there is an illegal character at the end of the company name.
The characters normally show as a space and are most often carriage returns caused by copying and pasting the company name.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

Open the tax return and check to see if there is a space or blank character after the company name.

If there is, delete it and try to generate the pdf file again.

If this works, go into Practice Manager.

Double-click on the client name.

Go to Company Information and delete the space(s).
