What do I do if a provisional field validation message appears but there are no provisional fields?

If you receive a provisional field validation message when there are no provisional fields, you need to un-mark the return as provisional.

SimpleStep mode (SA100)

1. Select Other Information from the left-hand menu.
2. Un-tick the second box 'Any of the figures you have given are provisional or estimated'.
3. If you can't un-tick this box, go to View > Provisional Fields.
4. Click on Go next to the fields marked as provisional.
5. Un-mark all provisional fields.
6. Return to Steps 1 and 2.

HMRC Forms mode (SA100)

1. Go to SA100 Core Return > Page 8.
2. Un-tick Box 20. (If this tax return contains provisional figures, Put 'X' in the box)
3. If you can't un-tick this box, go to View > Provisional Fields.
4. Click on Go next to the fields marked as provisional.
5. Un-mark all provisional fields.
6. Return to Steps 1 and 2.
