How to access previous years' returns before 2013?

Returns dated 2012 and earlier require the previous year's software to be installed.

You first need to download the previous year's version of TaxCalc (anything before the 2013 tax year).

To do this you will need to:

1. Log into your account on our Website.
2. Go to My Account.
3. Go to My Products and Services.
4. Go to Previous Years.
5. Click Download for the relevant years.
6. Once installed, you will need to ensure that you select the option to licence manually and enter the manual licence key for the applicable year (listed next to the Download button).
7. Once you have licensed the product, you will need to locate the return and double-click on the file so that it opens up in TaxCalc.
8. (If you do not have these files on your current machine, you will need access to the machine that you prepared the previous year's returns on. You can then locate the files and restore them on your new machine as per the article How do i find a missing file? If you are using a new machine and do not have a back up of those files, we will be unable to help you (as old years of TaxCalc only stored files on your machine).)
9. Once you have transferred the files onto the machine you are now using Taxcalc on, double-click on the file for it to open in TaxCalc.
