TaxCalc application will not open when clicking on the desktop icon

If the TaxCalc application does not open when clicking on the icon, the software is likely stuck in a Windows process on start-up. You can resolve this as follows:

  1. Open up the Windows Task Manager (right-click on the task bar then select Start Task Manager)

  1. Select the Processes tab.

  1. Highlight TaxCalcHub.exe.
  2. Click End Process.
  3. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until TaxCalcHub.exe no longer appears in the list
  4. Attempt to open TaxCalc. The program should open up as normal.

Alternatively, restarting your machine will resolve the issue as this will also clear the process. A re-install of the program is not required in this instance.
