What information is available from HMRC APIs for VAT?

What data can be requested from HMRC for VAT?

• Obligation periods – under MTD, it is no longer possible to create your own VAT periods in TaxCalc. These have to be retrieved from HMRC using their Get Obligations API.
• Payments & Liabilities – if payments and liabilities have been recorded under the new MTD service, these will be available from HMRC
• View VAT Return – if a VAT Return has been submitted via MTD, this information can be retrieved from HMRC; useful if you have taken on a new client
• Send VAT Return – sends VAT Return data to HMRC
