Why am I getting a 1047 error message?

TaxCalc's recent software release includes an update required by HMRC to ensure compliance with their requirements for Tax Return and VAT Return submissions. From 1 May 2019, any Tax or VAT Returns that you try to submit using an older version of our software will fail, with a "1047 error" message displayed.
