If a TaxCalc database is to be combined with another TaxCalc database the information that can be transferred is limited.
The database with data being extracted is referred to as the beta database.
The database that will import this additional data is referred to as a primary database.

The data that can be exported from the beta database consists of;

Practice Manager

All clients can be exported.
Contacts cannot be exported.
Relationships between clients cannot be recreated.

If a client from beta matches the Clientcode and UTR of an existing client in primary, they are deemed a duplicate client and the client and any additional information held in this module will not be imported.

Data held in fields outside of those listed in the Help file are not transferred and it is your responsibility to obtain PDF copies.

Tax Return Production

All tax returns can be exported and imported into the primary database. This includes all data on the return including filing history.

If a tax return exists in both databases we use the last filing date to determine if the beta copy needs to be imported.

This date is the last attempted submission to HMRC and will be imported if this is later then the copy held in Primary .

Accounts Production

No Data can be transferred for this module. All we can provide for accounts is;

An excel list of all accounting periods by Clientcode.
An audit trail per accounting period. - If an AP has multiple batches a single audit trail file is provided.
NO Filing history can be transferred.

This information is not imported by us in anyway.

You will need to create the accounting period then run through the Trial Balance Import wizard within the Accounts Production module to import from the audit trail.
