How do I pay HMRC?

You can pay HMRC by several methods which are listed below with links to the relevant  page on HMRC's website:

Same or next day:

1.  Online or telephone banking
2. CHAPS (Clearing House Automated Payment System)
3.  Debit or Credit Card online (You won't be able to pay with a personal credit card from 13 January 2018)
4. At your bank or building society

3 working days:

1. BACS
2. Direct Debit (if you've set one up with HMRC before)
3. By cheque through the post

5 working days:

1. Direct Debit (if you haven't set one up with HMRC before)
